They found that speech signals are normally low-pitched and musical clips have a wide range of pitches; both vary only gradually over time. In contrast, pornographic sounds tend to be higher-pitched, change quickly and also periodically repeat.

Movie-goers flocked to see what is billed as the world’s first 3D porn film as it opened to packed cinemas across Hong Kong on Thursday, with some screenings selling out completely.

Loosely based on a piece of classical Chinese erotic literature, the $3.2-million Cantonese-language movie “3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy” features orgies, swinging and some very graphic sex scenes.

Curious movie-goers from all walks of life — office workers, retirees and students — formed long queues outside cinemas in the southern Chinese city, eager to catch an eyeful of steamy 3D action.

Many in the crowd were women and were not shy about watching the movie.

“I’m not normally much of a movie-goer, but this one is just too good to miss,” 32-year-old Justin Lai told AFP as she waited at a cinema in Causeway Bay, one of the city’s busiest entertainment districts.

“I’d like to see what 3D porn is like on the big screen.”

College student Yan Shek, 21, was also among the first to see the movie in a morning screening. The 113-minute film has been rated Category III in Hong Kong, which bars anyone under 18 from watching it.

A second grader at Markham Elementary School in Oakland told school officials she saw some of her classmates doing a lot more than sitting in a tree and K-I-S-S-I-N-G. The 7-year-old girl spoke of two incidents, ABC News reports, one that included some of her classmates stripping and another where two kids allegedly had oral sex.

Pleasure-seeking just got a lot more convenient for Huntsville residents thanks to an Alabama sex shop that’s now selling sex toys through a drive-up window.

Owner Sherri Williams says her shop is the first adult store in the nation to offer car service and it’s all a part of her crusade to take the stigma away from sex shops.

“The real essence of what I’m trying to get across is adult stores don’t have to be hidden in back alleys,” Williams told The Huntsville Times. “Obviously we wouldn’t be doing as well as we are if no one enjoyed shopping here.”

The Huntsville store has three drive-thru lanes and could easily be mistaken for a suburban bank if not for its name: Pleasures. In fact, before Pleasures moved in and installed its sign with the tagline “one stop romance shop,” the building housed a bank.

Patrons can order from a menu of toys, lubricants and stimulants and receive their goods concealed in a plain, brown paper bag at the window.

Williams’ store first captured the national spotlight in 2007 when it challenged a state ban on sex toys – stating the ban violated the constitutional right to privacy. Alabama passed the ban in 1998 as part of a broader anti-obscenity law.

Williams’ case eventually went to the U.S. Supreme Court, but the ban stayed in place after the court refused to hear it.

Alabama is one of the last remaining states to enforce a ban on sex props. But the law has a medical loophole – Alabama residents are permitted to buy sex toys with a doctor’s note.

Customers are required to fill out a form detailing the health reasons for purchasing the titillating toys and the sale is a go only after it’s cleared as being for “a bona fide medical, scientific, educational, legislative, judicial or law enforcement purpose.”
