Sexlopedia: Sounding

I bet most of you have seen pictures of dicks with all sorts of piercings, tied up in all kinds of ways, tattooed in different designs and possibly you’ve seen dicks with metal rods in them.  Because you’re all perverts, and I wouldn’t have you any other way. ;)

Ever wonder what the metal rod cock stuffing treatment was called? Yep, you guessed it, Sounding.

The metal rods are called Sounds, thus the name.  Metal is used because they are easy to clean and they wont break or melt; other household products people end up using for lack of proper sounding equipment.  The two most popular sounds are called the Van Buren (curved) and the Dittle (straight), there are even cock rings with sounds attached to them. See…

Obviously, this little guy can be found at Stockroom.com

To properly sound you need lots of lube so to not tare the delicate tissues, some say water based is better especially if it is glycerin free (sugars can cause a urinary tract infection), others go with a silicone base because it is more hygienic but it is a little harder to clean up after.

It is good to start with a thin sound and work your way up if you are curious, you again don’t want to tare the tissue or stretch to cause too much irritation.  Although Sounding could be pleasurable, it is most usually found in the BDSM community.  Certain sounds make getting a hard on difficult, a fun predicament for any CBT fan.

Whether you try this once, are looking to become a pro, or are a pro – please be safe.  Don’t use wax, glass or any other improper materials while sounding and use an adequate amount of lubricant.  Sounding is an interesting enough feeling, there is no need to make it more dangerous.
