Sexlopedia: Matutorthosis

Matutorthosis – a morning erection, usually because of a full bladder. Derived from Latin matutinus (of the morning early in the morning), Greek orthos (straight, right, true), and Greek –osis (action, process, condition).

I need to find the actual wording but I was reading in “Men’s Sexual Health” by Dr. Barry McCarthy and Dr. Michael Metz that morning wood is mechanism for the body to feed blood to the penis while sleeping, since the heart doesn’t pump as hard during your sleep. That’s why we have erections every hour or so in our sleep. This makes sense to me because I don’t get hard when I have to pee. If anything its difficult to pee with an erection.

Hm, valid point. I borrowed the fact from elsewhere. That is a valid argument for nocturnal erections, but I bet that the combination of the two is what makes morning wood like clockwork.
